Hema Padhu

Hema is a Chennai-born, San Francisco-based writer and marketer.

She is currently working on a linked stories collection. As a first-generation Tamil immigrant, her stories explore the themes of displacement, yearning, loneliness, and acculturation.

Works by Colm Tóibín, Yiyun Li, Tessa Hadley, Joan Silber, Edna O’Brien, and William Trevor continue to inspire her work.
